So it may be cold, pretty dark and not very enticing outside… but you should still get out there! With a lack of Vitamin D and exposure to sunlight, Seasonal Affective Disorder is rife around this time. But do not hibernate… we don’t do that! Man up, and get outside. And what better way to enjoy the cool fresh air than up in the trees.
I persuaded my husband and his bessie mate to join me in an adventure in the tree tops in the rather newly opened Go Ape in Battersea Park. Of course on a week day January afternoon, it wasn’t particularly busy, and it was great fun. With just the right amount of adrenaline inducing walkways and zip lines, having wrapped up warm we had a great time frolicking in the tree line. You go around the course a total of three times, going up a level each time, with three zip lines to take you back to the ground. With amazing views of London and challenging wooden crossings like something out of a PG rated Ninja Warrior with a safety harness, this was a great way to spend a couple of hours.
If you’re tired of being stuck indoors and want to try something a bit different, then get yourself over to the park, rigged up, and see if you can cross all the bridges with no hands!
